Paul Munday

Paul Munday has underwritten a worldwide energy portfolio for over 30 years and was formerly President and Head of Underwriting at International General Insurance Company Limited (I.G.I), an A- rated Bermudian carrier. Prior to this Paul headed up the energy underwriting for the Commercial Union in the London Company and Lloyd’s markets.

Ben Holborow

Ben Holborow has over twenty years’ experience in the energy insurance market as both a broker and underwriter, including four and a half years in the Middle East. Before joining OOUL, Ben was the Vice President of Energy at I.G.I and prior to this worked at Agnew Higgins Pickering and Company Limited for 8 years.

Nicola Youngman

Nicola Youngman joined OOUL in January 2011 having been employed within the London insurance market for over thirty years. Nicola has a wide-ranging knowledge of the Lloyd’s and company markets gained through various technical, analytical and management roles. She is responsible for managing the information requirements of the company, the production of management reports, the analysis of Lloyd’s and company data and the development and oversight of IT systems.

Peter Simpson

Peter Simpson BA (Hons), MA is our accountant, compliance officer and company secretary. He has over forty years’ experience within the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets, having worked for brokers, coverholders, managing agents and a Lloyd’s corporate vehicle.

William Munday

William Munday has over 10 years upstream insurance experience and works on the underwriting side of the business and also heads up the aggregation team. Prior to joining OOUL in 2012, William spent six months at Newman Martin and Buchan working in the Energy and Specialty departments.

Rachel Butler

Rachel Butler joined OOUL in October 2013 as the company’s Head of Claims. Rachel has over 30 years of experience in the London and International insurance markets and brings a wealth of claims knowledge to the company. Rachel was previously Senior Vice President Operations with IGI and prior to that held senior claims positions with London market insurers.

Charlotte Troop

Charlotte Troop joined OOUL early in 2013, providing technical support for the accounting and administrative requirements of the Company.

Michael Porter

Michael Porter joined OOUL in 2014 after attaining a BSc Mathematics (Hons) degree from Southampton University. Michael was promoted to the role of Claims Adjuster in 2021 after working in the claims department since 2015. Michael is also the ESG Officer for OOUL.

Jenny Palmer

Jenny Palmer has over 30 years’ experience in the London insurance market, specialising in delegated underwriting authorities. Jenny joined OOUL in June 2016, providing technical accounting and general underwriting support.

EMMA HOLBOROW

Working closely with Peter Simpson, Emma Holborow is our Assistant Accountant covering all accountancy administration and support to the claims and underwriting departments.

ROBIN CULLIGAN

Robin Culligan is part of the underwriting team having joined OOUL in August 2022. He has held various technical, broking, consultancy and analyst roles throughout his 14+ years’ operating within the London Energy insurance market. Robin spent a number of years as an upstream broker for both Price Forbes and UIB, as well as working within the global Energy team at Allianz and at specialist risk consultancy Longdown EIC.
